Sheffield
So we've left the hot weather of Liverpool, and have driven to the equally hot weather of Sheffield. So far the hols have mimicked our last trip, with 'what a scorcher' being on all the news - along with instructions on how people can survive these incredible temperatures (tee hee).
The car we've rented is a large hatch-back, too large to the tiny UK roads, which are made even worse by lines and lines of parked cars. It's rare to find a road wide enought for two cars to pass each other, without one moving in. Whilst I'm griping, I'll mention that the car is diesel, and drives just like a big truck.
So we got to Sheffield late yesterday (Wed) morning, going straight to D & J's who took us for a lovely pub lunch. Then on to mums, who'd just got back from the Dentist. She got us to my sister J's where we're staying for most of the rest of the holiday (other than the trip to Cornwall).
Then it was on to my other sisters (M & R) for a quick visit, before returning home to J & M's for a pizza tea!
OK - a boring post, but at least this way after the holiday I'll remember what we did.
