Leo Rehomed, Harley maimed

We're sorry to say, having tried very hard to get Leo settled in, he's had to be re-homed. Thanks to help from the Wattle Grove cat adoption centre.

Whilst he is a lovely cat, very placid, and always happy to sit on someone's knee - he just doesn't get on with the other cats. He won't stop attacking them. We thought that it was our other two being unfriendly, but have now seen on several occasions that he sneaks up on them and then viscously attacks them. He's obviously trying to establish his position (at the top), but doesn't appear to do it by facing-off like most cats would, instead he sneaks up behind the other cats and just attacks with no notice. Harley was hurt last week with a bleeding back leg, and today she's been to the vet with a nasty abscess on her rump leading down to the original bite mark. They have had to fit a drain, and he's got to wear a lamp shade for 16 days - nightmare!. Harleys taken to staying outside nearly all the time since Leo arrived, which isn't what we want, so sadly Leo had to go.

We'd been looking for somewhere to take Leo for a couple of weeks, and luckily Wendy found a cat shelter who had a home for him to go to, so he was dropped off this morning - followed by Harley to the vet.
