Long weekend

It's the Queens Birthday long weekend, and we've just got home after a very exciting 4wd trip around the Nannup / Donnybrook area. This trip really took the Subaru to it's limits. We had five cars on the trip, three of which had punctures, our included - going completely off the rim following a very steep assent over some very loose slippery rocks.

We cut the trip short by a day, as ended up being the only ones planning to stay on.

The trip also features the worst 'hotel' I've ever stayed in. As we had an early start on the Sunday, we stayed Saturday night at the Donneybrook hotel (hotel being aussie for pub). It was a VERY rough establishment, sharing accommodation with the resident drunks (I'm not just saying that - they really were the resident drunks). Fortunately the bikie gang didn't arrive until after we left.

We don't normally bother with our anniversaries, but being 2-0 we though we'd do something special - so we had a lovely meal at the top restaurant 'the loose box'
