Flowers for our 20th Anniversary

Anniversary

Just a note to thank my wife for the last wonderful 20 years together. Twenty years ago today we got married, and I can honestly say every year has been wonderful.

I'm lucky enough to love W more every day, I don't let on much - but I do appreciate how lucky I am.

Enough mush!

Old Camera Gear

Having recently sold our slide projector and screen on ebay for a measerly 20 odd dollars, I didn't feel it worth selling any of our other unused stuff. However it was still a pain to have all our old film cameras sat on shelves, never used.

So... we sent some of our old camera gear off to someone we met on flickr. She lives over East (Melbourne) and is only young, but takes some really wonderful images. We got a really nice thank you note from her, and a heap of stamps (enough for the UK) - so we're set for Christmas postage now. She plans to go on a photography course at Uni next year, so It's nice to think our old gear will still get some use.

W sick

W has been off work most of the week with a bad cold - which I must admit I'm probably responsible for. I had the same last week, but it's so hard to get sick leave from my place that it wasn't worth all the hassle, so I shared it with my colleagues instead.

Despite the cold, W has been able to do lots of work on our Christmas light sequencing. We had a test run of what we call our mini-trees on Wednesday - they really looked great.

It's been a long time since I really looked forward to Christmas!!!

Missy Higgins

Whilst our relatives were recently over, we had a night time sing along (thankfully no one was their to witness it) and as I rummages around for suitable must I somehow ended up buying a Missy Higgins album (isn't online shopping great).

I've just got around to really listening to the album - and I'm really glad I got it. Thanks J.

PS: What do you call a judge with no thumbs?

Car

Rather miffed that my application for a new car has been stuck with our HR department for the last two weeks. All I need is someone to sign to say I work where I work, today I find the paperwork has been sat on someones desk for two weeks. They are away, and apparently no one else can deal with it! This is costing me money!

Dr Who?

We're both quite disappointed that what appears to be the key episode of the Dr Who 2nd series didnt record properly on our IQ. We got to where everything was explained - then it jumps over the explanation, to the round up at the end. Doh!

Slack

OK I know I've been pretty slack with posts for quite a while. No real excuse, but we have been busy lately - thanks to all the work we've got to do on the lights.

I'm beginning to think we're mad (it is a we, as W. is really getting into the lights too).

I've been using FaceBook.com for a while, since being introduced to it by someone at work. The more I use it, the more it's rubbing off on me. It basically just keeps track / in touch with people you know. Since it uses your email list to get things going, it's a really good way to get back in touch with people that you've lost touch with. Sort of a friends-reunited but on a grander scale.

Right now, I'm at work, having soup for lunch - better go, it's going cold...

It looks like it had been helping itself to the fish in our small pond. We've not managed to work out how many were taken - the remaining fish are all now hiding amongst the weeds.

A quick message for Beth & Lydia

They'll know what we mean
