The video below should give you an idea of what I'm working towards...

Back from our holiday, and it's back to work with avengance - 12 days without a break. So here's a shot of my desk - how can anyone work in this much mess. Note that I've ran out of desk space, so I'm using my spare chair to pile things.

Subaru 4wd club

We went along to and joined the WA Subaru 4wd driving club last night. Since the most 4wd'ish vehicle Subaru make is our Forester, it should probably be called the SUV club, as the Forester is not really in the 'Land Cruiser' league - size wise at least.

Basically they arrange a couple of trips away each month, intermixed with social events. Some are just day trips, others can be up to a few weeks away (camping). We've yet to enrole into any specific trips, but quite a few of the ones coming up sound quite good.

Birthday boy

The holiday was OK - not great, but not terrible, just OK. Bingley did have a great time, he was no trouble in the car (we went in the new 4 wheel drive) but he whined constatnly if either W or I went anywhere (in a shop, to the loo, to order food). It's our own fault for pampering him too much, and by the last day I think we'd just about got that problem sorted out.

It was also my birthday whilst we were away. It certainly beats working on your birthday. Basically we did lots of bush walking, and a quick trip to the dog friendly beech to get sand blasted in the incredible winds.

Here we are in our home from home, complete with the farms dog (Mozart) paying a visit - and hoping for some scraps.

Notice it's actually cool enough to wear a jumper!

Bells Rapid again

Holiday

We are off for a long weekend for my birthday, down South - at Redgate Farm, near Margaret River. It's as much a holiday for Bingley as us, as he's coming along.

We've rented what they describe as a luxury cottage - with it's own enclosed gardens so Bingley can have a run should we decide to go out without him (that's not likely to happen). It's on a working farm, so we can even help milk the cows if we feel like it (I don't think that's likely either).

We leave on Friday, back on Monday - but I've taken 5 days off work - so today is a lazy day at home. It's 36 deg C today, so too warm to do much anyway.

UK 2006

I somehow managed to post all my photos to flickr - yet miss two whole months from 2006 - including the photos from our UK trip in 06.

I kept trying to find photos I knew I had, and wondering why they were so hard to find. - Simple, I'd forgot to flickr them.

So now they are all up... here's the UK holiday set.

Moo moo prints - framed

Moo moo prints - framed

I'm pretty happy with the final results - although W says the glass needs cleaning. It took a lot of careful time doing all the cuts in the backing card.
