Sue came around - more Pizza
Quite a few blog entries today - it's too hot to go out, so I'm catching up on loading photos into blogger...
Cookie Misbehaving
Cookie is still as much a pain as ever. Here he is with one of his favourite passtimes - climbing and knocking things off shelves.
Making a photo frame from flickr pictures
I've had a load of photos from Moo on Flickr printed - little 1/2 credit card size prints.
So I've spent the long weekend carefully cutting a frame-mat to fit them in, next I've got to make the frame, and cut to size.

Sold
That went quick.
We hoped it wouldn't take long - the car is in amazine nick considering its age.
And we didn't even advertise.

Comet McNaught
We went out to see this comet last night. We've looked for it several times over the last week, but somehow failed to notice it. Probably because it wasn't dark enough.
So we took Bingley for a drive into the hills, and found a whole group of people parked up looking for it. Once the darkness set in it was really easy to see - quite an impressive sight.
Last night was supposed to be one of the last chances to see it, mainly (I'd guess) because the light from the moon is going to effect the viewing.
Of course as soon as we got home, we noticed it was clearly visible from the bottom of our drive. Doh!
Not my photo - forgot to take the camera - this great shot is from Stygiangloom on flickr.
Breakfast
M had twenty or so of her friends over on Sunday for a big breakfast - we all chipped in with the cooking - R looked after the bbq (sausage / bacon) W did the scrambled eggs

Car for sale
So now were trying to sell W's car.
It shouldn't be too hard - despite being 11 years old, its hardly been used - and we've managed to shine it up like a new penny.

W buys a new car
W has bought herself a new car. We pick it up in a week or so. Its a two year old Subaru Forester.

Harley Update
We took Harley in to the vet this morning to have her kidney removed.
Unfortunately she was lost on the operation table, due to the problem having now also developed on the 'good' kidney.
We will collect her tonight, and bury her in one of her favourite garden spots.

New TV - only just fits
Bought a new TV today, a Sony Wega Grand (106cm - or 43" in old money). It was a close thing getting it to fit in the cabinet...
W was a lot calmer about my impulse purchase than I expected, I suspect the fact she'd just had a huge clothes shop kept her calm.
Next on the shopping list - three lazy boys (or two lazy boys and one lazy puppy - for Bingley!).

Christmas over
As quickly as it came it went. I've not been as slack at it may appear with my blog entries - I've spant an absolute age getting all my photos loaded into flickr. It you've not looked around yet in flickr you've missed classic shots like this:

here's one from our engagement party (just turned 18)

and a lovely one from doing the Duke of Edinbourgh

What's W up to here?

I've got nearly 5000 photos up in flickr now, so you should find something / one you know (assuming you know us!).
Right now I'm laying in bed typing this on the laptop. It's not the most comfortable way of entering into the blog - it's hot (the PC and the room temp) and the keyboards at an inconvenient angle. Still it's the only time I seem to have to do it. We've been staying up really late most night - ever since daylight saving came in. The extra light just motivates us to do stuff when we get home (currently cleaning out my shed) and then we flake out in front of the TV.
So we're back at work again - the good news is that W has had some changes at work. She's really not been enjoying her work for a while. Too much work, and lots of work she's not used to doing has been getting her depressed. Anyway it looks like she'll be changing roles. From being the councils Traffic Engineer, she's going to be working with the Subdivision Engineer. Helping look after the new suburbs as they get built (Perth is ever expanding). It's similar work to what she does now, but (hopefully) less stressful. The money etc. looks like staying the same, infact they are offering a lot better package to who ever gets her old position.
My arms are tired - so that's your lot.

Fireworks
We then finished off new years day with a sausage sizzle at Dave & Mary's - followed by the foreshore fireworks.
