Visit Derby

We met up with J & G again for a couple of days in Derby. R met J when they were both students, so we went back to Derby Uni to see if we remembered it (it has been 20 years). It was a shock to us both how much it's changes, almost beyond recognition. All but the main tower-blocks have been knocked down and re-built, looking nothing like it did. It's obviously a much more desirable place than when we were here.

With the shock of the change in the Uni, we went to see the halls (of residence) where we'd both live. Only to find they'd been totally knocked down and rebuilt! Quite sad really.

A night out at the dog races in Sheffield was actually a lot more enjoyable than it may sound. Even the food wasn't too bad.
