Million Paws Walk

We've found the 'host a murder party' box. It's for eight, and based in the 1930's. More on that as we get it sorted.

official website for million paws walkToday we took Bingley to the million paws walk a charity event by the rspca (to raise funds of course) where a LOT of people meet on the foreshore in the City to do a 5km walk with their dogs. This was the 1st time we've been , and probably the last. The event itself was actually well arranged (apart from the donation collectors at the parking, causing traffic to tail back for miles) but their was just too many people there. We could hardly move. Bingley was so excited at seeing so many dogs at once, he wouldn't stop yelping in excitement. The weather was great (a bit too warm for the dark jeans we wore), and Bingley did really enjoy it. He's now totally flaked out.

Meanwhile at home the wall is being painted. - and W's mum is doing it! - Although I don't really feal guilty, as she's making us repaint the whole of upstairs - as she doesn't like the currently colour. We're quite happy with it as it is, but then it's only our house, so we don't really get any say. Unfortunatly having bought the new paint, R is complaining that it's too boring (a shade of white) - but the windows aren't huge upstairs, so we need to keep it as bright as possible.

Murder Party

how to arrange to a murder mystery party

A couple of years ago I bought Wendy a 'How to Host a Murder Party' box as a stocking filler for Christmas. If you don't know what they are - basically it's a kit to help arrange a theme party (costume optional). I can't even remember what the 'theme' was that I got. - As you can tell it's never been used.

Anyway, since winter feals like it's really settled in now, I'm determined to hunt it out (I know I'll find it soon, although it's not in the obvious places I've looked so far) and arrange it.

I think it's for eight people, so the next thing is to decide who to invite, it needs to be people who are game for a laugh. Probably couples (I think that's the way it usually works).

Weekend

Working on Sunday (as I seem to be doing most weekends).

Done little on the room upstairs, but have at long last got around to doing Mary & Dave's wedding video.

Here's the room before the walls were finished. I've just finished putting up coving, and am 70% through the plastering (messy work).

Its 11pm, and we're just back from the 'fly by night' a musicians club in Fremantle. They had another Harrissa do (belly dance) on, which are always suprisingly enjoyable to watch.

W's got a show on tomorrow at The Advance Bullsbrook Family Day - I'm sure you've all heard about it - I'm missing it due to work. But I will get to D & M's Bar-b-que straight from work...

And here's Bingley - out for a walk...

Slacker

Slack, very slack I know.

Last week was a shocker, with working commitments requiring me to be in at 5AM several days, and not then getting an early cut.

Todays another early start at work, due to problems with our Oracle database - I just hope it's sorted out today.

I've been working on the wall upstairs, and it's really coming along. The covings my current task, which I must say doesn't look too bad at all (so far anyway).

W's on a big payrise drive - she's (rightly) not happy with her current package, and it doesn't help that most of her department have resigned in recent months, making her work load grow and grow (I know that feeling). Her attitude is that the money won't make the job any better, but spending it may help her bare it.

As a suprise, I bought W an overlocker (a fancy sewing machine). She's mentioned she wanted one for all her dance outfits (she's now also doing bollywood dance - what ever that is!).
